Afterschool Meals Webinars

Recorded webinar:  Making the Afterschool Meals Program Work in Kansas

When the school day ends in Kansas, thousands of low-income children lose access to healthy school meals – but the Afterschool Meal Program can help fill this gap! The Afterschool Meal Program provides federal funding to afterschool programs operating in a low-income area to serve meals and snacks to children 18 and under after school, on weekends, and during school holidays. This webinar will provide an overview of the program, best practices, and next steps for getting started. Attendees will hear from the experts and administrators at the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE), as well as established programs already serving healthy, nutritious meals
